To a T: Alexander Wang's T Line

I'm going a little overboard with the Alex Wang posts, but I absolutely love this designer. One of my new favorite websites, Ssense, has an excellent selection from his latest T collection, which features simple yet perfectly cut (and extra-soft) tops and dresses in stylish shapes.

Call Girl: Skin is In

An excerpt from Vice's Global Trend Report for New York '09: "Ladies have completely shocked us by dressing as slutty as they possibly can. Prudes are out, slags are in." This is totally true! As a girl who used to wear ruffly prairie vintage items and now wants to wear mesh bodycon dresses, crop tops, and cutout minis, I can completely attest to this. Blame Alex Wang. Anyways, the whole Vice Fashion Issue is amazing--interviews with the designer of the Cosby sweater and DIY's darling Yokoo, plus trend reports from every major fashion city worldwide. Inspiring and hilarious.

Cut It Short

Crop tops are showing up everywhere, and I think they're a fun flirty option for warmer weather. You can experiment with layering, and they look great with high-waisted jeans. These are some of my favorites:
Shakuhachi Lace Overlay Top (unfortunately sold out right now, pixiemarket.com)
Petal Top by Hearts in My Eyes (bonadrag.com)
Stud Crop Tank by Amelia Lindquist (peeps.org)
