Went to a great exhibit at the International Center of Photography yesterday! It was called "Weird Beauty," and featured all kinds of contemporary fashion photography. My favorite series, bar none, were by Steven Klein. His work is violent and confrontational, yet still totally beautiful. The only other word I can think of to describe his images is "rich"--the colors in them really knock the wind out of you. This series, which takes place in a supermarket, is one I really love.
