Straight to the Heart: Vena Cava Spring '10

And so Fashion Week begins! I'm being very picky this season and only choosing my absolute favorite shows, and while some labels like Cushnie et Ochs and Rachel Comey were bland in my opinion, others like Vena Cava really maintained their wow factor. The girls delivered on many of their signature pieces, like zipper dresses, but also brought a new sophistication to their look with flowing goddess dresses and tribal accents.

These boots from Candela are so amazing! Their over-the-knee height and rockstar stud detailing make them a spot-on look for fall. Now I just have to bide my time until they go on sale....

Raindrops and Roses: Kelsey Genna's Designs

I just discovered New Zealand designer Kelsey Genna's site and am completely smitten. Her clothes are the epitome of sweet, featuring pastel velvet, lace, and gingham. Check out her boutique, which is full of flirty underthings, bodysuits, and candy-colored frocks!

Laced With Romance: Jeffrey Campbell's Boots

These boots from Jeffrey Campbell are seriously amazing! What a great version of those classic Ann Demeulemeester lace-ups. At over $200 they're still a bit too much, but I'm sure they'll be selling out in no time.
